ABOUT The Travel Project
is a visual anthology of independent hotels
shaped by authorship and a deep sense of place.

Historic Venetian building beside a canal at dusk
Rustic bar interior with green tiled counter, stools, plants, and pampas grass

In a hospitality market flattened by uniformity, these are properties where architecture responds to landscape, food speaks to the land, and every decision favours permanence over trend. Hotels still building with conviction.

Founded in Mayfair 2025

Entry into the collection begins with the people who created them. We spend extended time on the ground with founders, architects, and operators, unhurried conversations about the years of decisions that shaped each place. Long-form study and visual documentation that becomes a permanent record, positioning each property within a broader cultural lineage.

What grows from that work extends well beyond documentation. Print publications. Curated field gatherings. Small group journeys built around the people and places in the collection. A body of work that keeps a property visible and cherished long after first publication.

THE COLLECTION GROWS

(Films released bi-weekly)

The collection is selective by design. We grow deliberately, and every addition is an editorial commitment, not a submission. Each property can be explored and booked through the collection.
